Overview

The Cambridge Continuum of Care (CoC) is a group of organizations and individuals working to address homelessness through a coordinated, community-based process of identifying needs and building a system of housing and services to address those needs. The phrase “Continuum of Care” represents four things:

  1. A communitywide commitment to the goal of ending homelessness.

  2. Funding for efforts by nonprofit providers and State and local governments to quickly rehouse homeless individuals and families while minimizing the trauma and dislocation caused to homeless individuals, families, and communities by homelessness.

  3. Access to and effective utilization of mainstream programs by homeless individuals and families.

  4. Self-sufficiency among individuals and families experiencing homelessness

Vision: The vision of the Cambridge CoC is that in our community every person is appropriately, safely and decently housed. The CoC works to alleviate homelessness through prevention, assistance toward self-sufficiency and the provision of a continuum of housing and service options.

Mission Statement: The Cambridge CoC plans, develops and implements comprehensive and coordinated strategies to address homelessness in Cambridge.
