HMIS Beginner Training Schedule and Registration

Important Information about HMIS Beginner Trainings

In order to attend, you must complete two prerequisite trainings at least two days prior to the training. Failure to complete the prerequisites will require re-registration for another date. Please plan on blocking off approximately 2 to 3 hours to fulfill the prerequisites. They focus on privacy and security and basic navigation of HMIS using Clarity Human Services. A laptop/desktop computer, use of video, a quiet space, and participation are required for virtual trainings. Registration links are below the prerequisite instructions. Once registered, you will receive an email from Zoom with a calendar invitation and link to the Zoom meeting. You must register to attend the training.

  1. Clarity General Training - complete all lessons. Use only this link and do not search for it online.

  2. Privacy and Security Training - follow instructions to review documents, watch video, and take quiz.

Notice: in person trainings are set to resume in Spring 2024. In-person trainings are held in the 2nd floor conference room at 51 Inman St in Cambridge. Trainees must bring a laptop for in-person trainings. Unfortunately we do not have computers for trainees to use at 51 Inman St.

 

Directions to 51 Inman St (Coffin Building) for In-Person Trainings

In-person trainings are held in the second floor conference room at 51 Inman St. To access the building, enter down the ramp from Inman Place (across from the City Hall Annex) and follow the signs for Planning and Development on the second floor. There is a receptionist on the third floor if you need assistance.

Via Public Transit:

  • Red Line - Central Station (6-8 min walk)

  • MBTA 1 Bus - City Hall/Mass Ave and Inman St (4-5 min walk)

  • MBTA 68 Bus - City Hall Annex/Broadway and Inman St

  • Green Line D Branch - Union Square (15-17 min walk)

Limited meter street parking is available nearby. Parking is also available at the Green St Garage.
