Resources During Extreme Winter Weather
Cambridge has a network of homeless service providers, faith-based partners, and public services that coordinate efforts during extreme weather conditions. Winter storms and extreme temperatures pose a severe risk to the safety and health of people remaining outdoors. If you see someone on the street and are concerned about them, please contact the FirstStep Street Outreach team at 617-592-6895, or call 911 if it is a medical emergency.
Cambridge Multi-Service Center
The Cambridge Multi-Service Center provides a range of services for persons experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness in Cambridge. The Multi-Service Center is located at 362 Green Street in Central Square and has walk-in hours from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. 617-349-6340
Cambridge Somerville Emergency Services Program
24-hour behavioral health crisis assessment, intervention and stabilization services response to adults and youth in need of psychiatric crisis intervention. 800-981-4357
Mass 211
Mass 211 is a 24/7 call center to connect callers to health and human services in the local area. If you are seeking help outside of business hours, dial 211 or 877-211-MASS (6277).
