2017 HMIS Data Standard Changes

October 1st, 2017 marks another year of changes to the HMIS Data Standards. The good news is that the changes this year will have very little impact on front end users. Most users will notice some changes in wording of answer choices. The biggest change will be related to data entry for persons in permanent housing projects. All PH projects will now have an additional field of “Housing Move-in Date,” which will signify when a household moves into any type of permanent housing, regardless of funding source. Right now this field is represented in HMIS with “Project Entry Date.” (Click on the image to the right to enlarge.)
