Summer 2014 – HMIS 2.0

Social Solutions (our HMIS vendor) software developers are working on implementing the changes for the October 1, 2014 new HMIS data standards. Prior to that change, HMIS will also undergo a major update related to how we enter data. Using the HUD Assessments and recording Efforts/Case Notes will be considered “legacy” features, and both of those functions will move into the TouchPoint format of data entry. Planning & Development will be working with Social Solutions to migrate historical data into the TouchPoint template. The tentative schedule for the change is in late July/early August. HMIS users in the Cambridge Enterprise will not see changes until we are sure that the migration has been complete and successful. We will also keep you informed with a more concrete schedule of this release, including training on the new workflow and enhancements. In the meantime, if you are curious about TouchPoints, you can visit the ETO Training site, and select the TouchPoints link to watch introductory recordings. Please feel free to contact me with any questions and stay tuned for more updates.
