The 2016 Cambridge Youth Count Takes Place May 2 – 15
The Youth Count is an annual state-wide initiative overseen by DHCD and the Interagency Council on Housing and Homelessness (ICHH) intended to determine the number and characteristics of youth facing housing instability in the Commonwealth. Both DHCD and ICHH rely on the Continuums of Care operating in Massachusetts to carry out the count. As in past years, the Cambridge CoC will participate in conducting the Youth Count in the City of Cambridge. This year the Youth count will take place between Monday, May 2, 2016 and Sunday, May 15, 2016.
During the period of the count a short survey will be administered to people aged 25 and under. While the bulk of the survey administration is being carried out by Youth Ambassadors who will engage their peers in assist them to complete the survey, we are also asking that organizations providing services in Cambridge also incorporate the Youth Count survey into their normal service delivery. You can help us get the word out about the 2016 Cambridge Youth Count by circulating the below flier – which also contains a link to the survey for those people interested in completing the survey during the 13 day Youth Count period.
